Candice is an Australian-based writer and editor with a deep passion for storytelling and a talent for transforming manuscripts into polished, publishable works. With over 22 years of experience in the publishing industry and 12 years dedicated to editing, she has developed strong expertise in structural editing, copy editing, and proofreading. Her true passion lies in book editing, where she has worked on a diverse range of genres including memoirs, faction, and self-help/guidance nonfiction manuscripts.

Currently, Candice serves as the lead editor for the award-winning Roxanne McCarty-O’Kane Writer agency, where she brings her editorial skills to projects of various lengths, from 30,000 to 140,000 words. She is also the subeditor for Salt magazine, a 124-page lifestyle publication that celebrates remarkable people, stunning landscapes, and delightful culinary experiences. As a feature writer for Salt, she crafts engaging stories that resonate with readers.

In her role as the editor of My Renovation magazine, Candice oversees the monthly production of content, managing everything from editorial planning and sourcing to writing and subediting. She collaborates closely with designers to create a cohesive and visually appealing product that reflects the magazine’s focus on renovation and interior design.
